A look back at August--

Wow! I can't believe that today is the last day of August! Anybody with me?
August was such a fun, relaxing, "let's hurry and do anything fun we can think of before school starts" month to wrap up the summer with, this year.
Let's take a stroll down memory lane... Shall we?

I had a birthday party with my favorites...
Participated in a head-band swap and sent off this lovely thing to a stranger...
Spent loads of time with Logan...
Did a photo shoot with one of my bestest...
and started college... like a big girl {& made a new friend-- love you megan!} :)
Happy {almost} September, everyone!

Shoot with Jillian.

This is long overdue--

Through thick and thin- we have made it! This friendship is a blessing and I know it is going to be long-lived. Good luck with your talents... I know it's going to take you places! Love you so much!

I.Tried.It- Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Strips

The Product: Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Strips in Frock Star
The Price: $9
The Result: See for yourself... :)
I've been looking into these things for a while. The fun patterns were so enticing... I finally just had to see for myself what they actually were.
This Sally product is just what it says it is... a strip. A strip of tape-like nail polish.
The best part about these strips is that everything you need is supplied- a nail file, a cuticle stick, and the strips themselves.
The application, even on the first try, were pretty easy. Just place, rip off the excess, and you're done!
And no dry time! How great is that?!
I honestly love these things and I was tickled with the glittery results!
But- for the price- I'd never buy anything but a fun pattern. {They come in some simple shades, too}
They stayed on for about a day and a half- for me. Mind you, I'm very hard on my nails. {I've heard of most people's staying on at least 4 days... longer than an actual manicure}
So in the end... so pretty, but next time I'll need to be more careful.

Easy Eats: Veg Omelet

When I have time- I love to make dinner. It makes me feel grown up. So as I was wondering around on Lauren Conrad's site last night, in complete starvation, I saw this yum-tastic looking thing, and decided to give it a whirl.
Behold- the best healthy omelet you've ever tasted!
Here's a how-to...
Ingredients:
Instructions:
-In a bowl, beat together the egg whites & spinach.
-In a small skillet, coated with extra virgin olive oil, over medium heat, pour in the egg mixture and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes.

-Flip with spatula and cook another minute.
-Take omelet off the hot eye & sprinkle on cheese and tomatoes. Then fold omelet in half (one side over the other).
-Add salt and pepper to taste... and enjoy!
This healthy meal makes great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! It's super filling and super simple.
Eat up!
